Saint-Gobain has retained RVA to act
as project managers and CDM-C for the
demolition and clearance of their closed
pipes, fittings and valves manufacturing
plant at Staveley, Derbyshire.

RVA’s asset retirement obligations support
service is proving popular with major oil and
gas production companies.

In order to assist organisations to comply with
the requirements of SFAS 143, an auditable,
robust and flexible accounting tool, that can
be refined to meet the needs of each client,
has been developed.

Following the completion of projects for
ConocoPhillips, both Shell UK and BP have
engaged RVA to undertake similar exercises
for their companies.

It is now hoped to roll this service out to a wider
customer base that includes the power, chemical,
petro-chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

Following a break of nearly three years RVA is again
working on the Sanofi-Aventis site at Dagenham managing a
number of decontamination, dismantling and
demolition projects. The current work packages
are scheduled to run into next year.

machine from Aberdeen to their Mill
in the Ukraine.

overview for the dismantling of one of its paper
machines, complete with associated plant.

The assignment, scheduled to take several months,

to provide both UK and Turkmenistan
based engineering services, for their
project to demolish a redundant delayed
coking unit at the Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery.

A number of visits to the site, by the RVA
engineering team are planned, to assist the
client in clearing the way for a major
new-build scheme.
